I am currently seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preceptor for the Fall 2025 semester. Ideally, this preceptor would be a board-certified PMHNP, psychiatrist (MD/DO), or clinical nurse specialist in psychiatry with prescriptive authority. I am looking for someone who practices in inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient psychiatry or rehab clinics, primary care settings with a mental health focus, VA psychiatric units, or community health centers.

My clinical requirements include:

150 total hours, with at least 50 hours in psychotherapy

A focus on evidence-based psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions

A supportive learning environment that encourages the development of clinical judgment, cultural competence, and ethical practice

I’m located in Houston and surrounding areas, and am open to in-person or hybrid opportunities in Houston or surrounding areas.
